Keeping your Budget Manager software up-to-date is important for ensuring you have the latest features and security enhancements. Updating is straightforward and only takes a few minutes. Follow these steps:
Most users install ABReport in the same folder as Budget Manager. The process below will update both Budget and ABReport. If ABReport is installed in it's own folder, please follow the steps in the Update ABReport Article.
Step-By-Step Instructions
- Download the latest version of Budget Manager from our secure ShareFile server.

Follow the steps in the Backup Your Budget Data article. - Make sure all users have closed Budget Manager.
- Open your Downloads folder and extract or unzip the Files.zip.
- Open the Files folder and then the Budget and ABReport folder.
- Select all of the files by clicking and dragging with your mouse or use Ctrl+A on your keyboard
- Copy the files by right-clicking and selecting Copy or use Ctrl+C on your keyboard
- Open your Budget folder and paste the files by right-clicking and selecting Paste or using Ctrl+V on your keyboard.
- Optional: After updating all applications you can clean up your Downloads folder and delete the Files.zip folder and the Files folder.
That's it! Budget Manager and ABReport are now up-to-date.
