The Budget Preparation Print function provides tools to print your proposed budget. You can customize the output by choosing which details to print, what amounts to print in your columns, and which lines to print. This allows you to tailor printed reports for presenting your budget preparation details as needed.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Select Budget Preparation from the menu on the left or by selecting Other Functions then Budget Preparation from the top menu.
- Use the dropdown menu to select the Budget Preparation you want to print then choose Select to open the Budget Prep.
- After the Budget Prep opens, select Print from the menu.
- Choose Report to open the Print Budget Preparation window.
- Choose the desired options before printing. All fields are explained in detail in the Print Options Definitions section below.
- Press Print to send the Budget Prep to your printer.
Print Options Definitions
Report Options
The report options section allows you to add information to your printed Budget Prep. These options are not usually checked.
- Print Control Lines
Print the codes that determine the format of the report. - Print Line Numbers
Print the line number attached to each line - Print Detail Lines
Print any detail that was entered to explain the total amount on the report
Columns
- In x Column Print:
The dropdown menus allow you to specify what values to print in each column. Typically you'll use the defaults. - Underline for Zero
This allows you print a "blank" cell for any column and row where the value is zero. This is used when you want space to hand-write data on your printed copy. - Beginning and End Line #
This allows you to print specific portions of your budget prep if you only want to review certain lines. Use the default values to print everything.
Printer
The printer options allow you to choose your printer, font style, font size, and paper orientation prior to printing your Budget Prep.
- Print to Screen
Checking this option allows you to preview the budget prep (font changes are not visible when printing to screen). - Print to csv file
Checking this option allows you to create a csv file that you can import into spreadsheet programs like Excel.
